Sesquipedalian...I just found out this word means: people who use long words! How ironic.
I had never even heard of the word before. Looks like I learned something new today. =)
Anyhow, I am totally in love with these Alexander McQueen boots I saw on Net-A-Porter this morning. They are ridiculously high at a 4 1/2 heel - my feet don't cooperate well with heels above 3 inches because they start to hurt and cramp - but I absolutely love them. The ruching, the bow in the back - these would look perfect with a pair of three-quarter length pants. So chic for fall. It's too bad about the $1,230 (USD) price tag...

Runway Trend of Fall & Winter 2008: Nature
Flowers, feathers, and foliage ruled the runways at the fall/winter 2008 collections. The flowers were in bright, cheerful colors, which shows that they aren't just for summer. Meanwhile, feathers adorned gowns, dresses, jackets, you name it. The other theme was leaves and camoflauge, which completeed the nature look.
I really like the fall floral prints. They are very colorful and not in hues on blacks and grays at all, like they used to be. So, I am very happy that florals are continuing to be hot for fall! I would love to buy a floral dress for winter.
The feathers are nice too, but I'm not into feathers as much. Sometimes they can be too much, and you can end up looking like an ostrich.
Leaves and camoflauge - I despise camoflauge, but leaf prints are definitely very pretty.
What are your opinions on this trend??
